The Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks offer some of the best and diverse scenery that New Zealand has to offer. Whether it is exploring beautiful secluded bays rich in golden sand and calm clear waters or climbing majestic mountain ranges to enjoy spectacular vistas of Tasman Bay then this area has it all. This area hosts many visitors who repeat their trips year after year or end up simply moving to the area.

The only way is up! The views from Mt Arthur across Tasman Bay to the Richmond Range in the south and Farewell Spit to the north make this day's tramp well worth the effort. Mt Arthur is situated in the rugged Kahurangi National Park, which is New Zealand's second largest Park. The Kahurangi is popular with trampers, hunters, fisherman, botanists, cavers and those looking for a place unique for its rugged remote locations.
